Gridlock2010 is a standard screen saver for Windows 7/Vista which models traffic behaviour
through a wide assortment of motorway, road junction and train networks in twenty different
topologies, two layouts modelling non-UK driving. In addition to variable traffic conditions,
Gridlock features include 24hr cycling, night driving, speed limits, roadworks and safety
cameras; rivers and boats also appear on a number of layouts. Train layout features include
points, signals, stations, termini and single line operation. Gridlock runs with a random
selection of layouts and features by default, but is also fully configurable if desired.

Gridlock 2008 is an advanced traffic modelling Windows 7/Vista/XP screen saver
that allows the traffic jams to build up while you are away from your desk. The
final update (10-Oct-10) contains a variety of road, rail and river networks together
with model train layouts and is fully configurable with an extensive range of options.
If you have an older computer, you should download Gridlock 2006 or 2004.

LiftQ Retro simulates the boredom of waiting for lifts in a simple Windows
screen saver. Written in 1996, it has been recompiled for Windows XP/Vista.
SaverControl 1.3 is a simple Windows 7 utility that can be used to control the
screen saver while you are working, but still enable the saver to run when you
are inactive or the computer is locked. The program also allows you to control
Monitor Power Off settings and the latest version includes a sleep/hibernate display
option. Whilst there are many utilities on the net, I wanted to use one which I knew
was only using standard Windows calls. Configuration is through a system tray
icon and popup dialog box and a ReadMe file is provided. You can download the
current version (released 12-May-12) in .zip format by clicking the icon on the left.
JET is a command-line utility for listing the contents of disc drives. By default,
it graphically displays the drive or path similar to TREE and prints the total bytes
of files held in directories. JET can also be used to dump disk listings to file.
JET is designed for Windows XP; use JET32 or JET16.exe for older OS.

Battleships Retro is a simple but sometimes addictive game similar in style to
Microsoft's MineSweeper. Written around 20 years ago, it was recompiled in
VB6 to run happily under Windows XP/Vista/7. See if you can find and sink
all the ships before being depth-charged.
