Gridlock 2010 is the latest version of the traffic modelling Windows 7/Vista
screen saver which was updated on 10-Oct-10. There may be a few bugs
lurking around. Please inform the Author if you find these before he does.
Whilst Gridlock 2010 is not extensively tested on Windows XP, there is no
particular reason why it shouldn't work perfectly well on an adequately
powered Windows XP SP2 computer.
Gridlock 2008 is an advanced traffic modelling Windows 7/Vista/XP
screen saver that allows the traffic jams to build up while you are
away from your desk and has been extensively tested prior to and
since its release in Aug 2008; working well on all three Windows versions.
SP1 PP2 contains new features and updates; it was released 10-Mar-10.
Gridlock 2008 Plus Pack 1 and 2 added a native 64-bit Edition
which was designed (only) for Windows 7/Vista 64-bit installations.
Gridlock 2006 for Windows XP was superseded by the 2008 release,
but if you want to run it for any reason, it remains available in its final
incarnation which is Service Pack 4/Plus Pack 1.
If you want to run Gridlock on an older computer, you can download
the final version of Gridlock 2004 for Windows 95/98/98SE/Me/2000.
Troubleshooting Tips:
There are no known critical issues with Gridlock versions, details will be
posted on this web page. The current release versions are:
Gridlock 2010 Update 1 which can be identified by the About box
versioning of this 10-Oct-10 second release which is
Version 5.01 (5.01.0345.0) Release 10-Oct-10.
Gridlock 2008 Service Pack 1, Plus Pack 2 which can be identified by
the About box versioning of the 10-Oct-10 final fix update which is
Version 4.12 (4.12.0315.6) Release 08-Aug-08 (10-Mar-10).
Gridlock 2004 is a well tested and established product which should
give your computer hours of trouble-free simulation. Gridlock 2006
was tested at extensively prior to release and had four wrinkle-ironing
Service Packs to refine it. Gridlock 2008 was well behaved in testing
and performed well on Windows 7; the core code base was pretty similar to
that which underpined the 2006 version. Gridlock 2010 includes quite a few
structural changes, so may have some associated bugs that will need to
be ironed out over time. It has however been well behaved in testing and
looks like a promising addition to the line of Gridlock releases.
Should you find any issue with the current versions or Service Packs,
please notify the author and revert to a previous version if required.
You may also consider trying the beta version of the next release as
this may include a fix for any issues you may be experiencing.

on completion, so may contain some undesirable changes. You can
